The National Infrastructure Commission’s 2018 report ‘Preparing for a drier future’ highlighted that water resource planning process adopted by water companies does not include an independent analysis to identify strategic options such as transfers between regions. We propose a methodological framework to carry out feasibility study for inter-basin transfer projects.
