Peter Melville-Schreeve speaks at the 2016 Flood Expo Event

Theme 4's Peter Melville-Shreeve filled the Marshall’s Stage at the recent 2016 Flood Expo event at London’s Excel.

His research and development work with Severn Trent Water and University of Exeter has supported a shift in the UK’s rainwater harvesting industry towards a focus on managing stormwater, whilst still mitigating droughts.

Historically, rainwater harvesting systems have been installed at new developments with a focus on providing water savings to the homeowners. However, Pete’s research has opened the door to rainwater harvesting systems meshing with the sustainable drainage industry. Pete is now a part-time research fellow at University of Exeter, and is spending the remainder of his time developing new products and services for the UK’s rainwater harvesting market. He has his fingers crossed for a successful Eng D viva in the new year.
